Survival wisdom & know-how : everything you need to know to subsist in the wilderness by The Editors of Stackpole Books
Encyclopedic in scope, each skill is well described with directions for how to proceed accompanied by illustrations. Each topic may be beginner's level, but the scope of the work makes it a reference book for people who spend a lot of time in the wilderness or are likely to be stranded for any length of time. Probably useful to scouts as well.
