Good little pamphlet giving one plan for constructing a root cellar of a particular size using specific materials, but doesn't give a sense of what other materials, sizes or uses might be possible, which many DIY builders might prefer.

Has a special section on butchering! The list of equipment is frightening, including stunning hammer, cleaver, 12-inch straight-blade steak knife and last on list, sadly, bucket.

I would say that if you want to learn about cows and how to raise beef then this is a great book to read. 3Q3P The cover art is okay and I'd recommend this to high school students and adults. I chose to read this book because I show steers for beef so I wanted to learn more. SyT
