This is an activity book about magnifying. It is a great book because it shows how to create homemade magnifying glasses and then has activities within the book in which to use the homemade magnifying glasses. It is easy to read, so students would be able to do it on their own. However, a teacher could even copy the pages and have the students do the activities together as a whole. This would even be good for group activities. This also would help introduce the science concept of show more observation. That is why I rate this book a 4 out of 5. The only thing I did not like, again, was a lack of color. show less

Sportworks is an activity book that provides activities related to sports. This book has a variety of activities that are easy to do and also provides good information about the sports related to the activities. This book is best suited for upper elementary students but is not a great tool to use in a classroom because it takes a fair amount of movement to do many of these activities and a classroom most likely would not have enough space for them. I rate this book three out of five because show more I find some of the activities require things you would not have access to in a classroom. show less

The students in grades third through sixth grade would prefer to the science projects. There are many great and easy science experiments. I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 because the experiments are safe and well-developed.
