50) [Chihuly Gardens and Glass]
I have had this catalogued for years and am now just realising that it's the postcard book that accompanies the actual book. I picked this when I visited a Chihuly exhibition set up in a Chicago park at the turn of the century. I love the shapes that Chihuly produces - organic, alien, fluid, colourful, exotic, natural. And I love the way he exhibits his artwork, in amongst plants which the artwork complements. The titles, though, are rather prosaic, usually show more being the location of the piece.
I suppose I could tear out the postcards and send them off to friends and family to enjoy - but I'm going to keep them all to myself, to leaf through, reminisce and enjoy.

Chihuly's creations are amazing!! If readers ever get to Seattle, be sure to pay a visit to the Chihuly garden and gallery adjacent to the Space Needle. You will discover some of the most beautiful pieces of art you've ever seen. The book gives only a glimpse of all that the artist has done.
Lovely! Great colors and use of space. I especially liked the glasswork near/in the water in this collection.
Delightfully colorful collection of glass art, well photographed.
