I enjoyed the character development in this book. I wish there were more of a sense of place in this whole series.
Cassie is a pro surfer who isn't surfing. She's afraid to- but why? And can se overcome her fear?
So Cassie decides to be a Counseler in Training (CIT) at Camp Ohana is Hawaii, thinking maybe over the summer she'll overcome her fear. But things get messy when she begins to like Micah because Danica (who totally has it out for Cassie) also likes him.

I wasn't sure weather to get this book or not, but I'm glad I did. It's a light read, but isn't a shallow chick lit book. It's a clean book and show more I would recommend it to probably middle school students. show less
A group of girls who are best friends can't go to their usual summer camp, Lakeview, so they sign up for a new camp , Walla Walla. The new camp is more rustic and more outdoor-achievement oriented. This suits one of the girls very well and is quite daunting to another. Also, a friend that they met at Lakeview a couple of years ago is here but she is very stand-offish to them now and the leader of her group, Avery, is down right rude. What's with that? You'll enjoy sharing the girls' show more friendships, conflicts, and boyfriends and seeing how their summer turns out at Walla Walla. show less
