In Water, Water Everywhere, this important natural resource is covered in an overview format. The authors manage to tackle the water cycle, aquatic animals, pollution and waste, fresh water versus salt water, and more in easy-to-digest text supplemented by full-color photographs.

Despite this nonfiction book being more than 10 years old, I was surprised to find it still very useful. All of the information seems correct and up to date, and even the pictures (mainly animals and nature shots) show more look as though they could be contemporary.

This book would be a good introduction into a variety of scientific topics (e.g., water cycle, pollution, etc.) for young elementary-age children. It could be an especially useful resource for Earth Day or other relevant events.

Cynthia Overbeck has many fascinating educational books and this one is definitely my top from her. This book has text and several pictures describing all the stages of the sunflower. It is my favorite flower, so of course I was attracted to this book. Science is always so fascinating and I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves sunflowers!
