This is a riveting true story about the life of Marybeth Tinning and the 9 children she killed. The author very artfully and intricately directs the reader through every phase of Marybeth's life and gives great detail without getting too clinical and boring. I found the book very interesting but at times frustrating because you are aware that she is getting away with murder. Thankfully it is finally put to an end. There are many people who could have come forth with pertinent information but show more chose not too, for fear of Marybeth or other reasons. The book gave a good view of how a jury should work together. show less
A well written story of a woman who murdered all nine of her children (was only convicted of three). Did Mary Beth Tinning suffer from Munchausen's Syndrome By Proxy? Or was she simply a sadistic person who loved the attention and sympathy she received following the death of a child? The reader can draw his or her own conclusions.
The short lives and strange deaths of Marybeth Tinnings, I followed this in the newspaper, starting with the death of her 2nd child, when I read about the third, I could not understand why someone wasn't looking into this. The news articles continued, until I found this book - Unfortunately the author did not look at where the mother was coming from. - look at Cradle of Death diff case, same act
This is a real depressing book! It's unbelievable how this woman could get by with killing 9 little babies and the authorities never being suspicious! Very informative!
