Milly Howard

A simple and charming story of a little girl, longing for a friend in a schoolhouse full of boys. Not hard core history, but another that is good for flavor. Amazingly void of solid clues to pin it to a particular decade. It is from the "one room schoolhouse era," which could be anywere in the 1800's or even much of the 1900's. Suggaring off, coal stoves, and other themes do bring the "era" (broad as it is) to life.
