Short biography
An Australian, Tracy Cooper-Posey brought her family with her to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1996 to marry. Tracy is a “net citizen”: She met and courted her husband on the Internet, and has coordinated discussion groups and teaching on-line. She teaches popular fiction writing both on-line and at college, and entertains students and the public with anecdotes and insights into one the most antisocial professions in the world, and the peculiar industry it drives. In 1994 Tracy won the Emma Darcy Award for novelists, for her novel Eyes of a Stranger, and repeated her success by placing fourth in the 1998 competition with Diana by the Moon. She has been nominated for the Carol Anne Sorel Encouragement Award for writers, and was awarded the Sherlock Holmes Society of Western Australia’s Best Pastiche Award for her Sherlockian novel Chronicles of the Lost Years -- a Sherlock Holmes Mystery. Diana by the Moon was nominated for Best Original eBook in the prestigious Frankfurt eBook Awards for 2000. Her short stories and articles have appeared in various Canadian and Australian magazines and periodicals, and on the Internet. So far Tracy’s life has encompassed an eighteen month stint on war-ravaged Bougainville Island in Papua New Guinea, and at various times she has been a secretary, office clerk, single mother, freelance writer, public speaker, columnist, law student, international traveler, writing teacher, advertising production coordinator (for a national newsmagazine), web-press production coordinator, and the first female cinematograph operator in Western Australia. Most recently she was the editor and managing editor of WHERE Edmonton magazine, and she also teaches creative writing at Grant MacEwan College. She currently lives in Edmonton with her husband and their blended family of three children.

a courageous heart

[Helena's] 'mouth was thick with the coppery taste of fear.'
Those words captured me, tainting the very atmosphere. The visceral reaction of this woman whose story I was about to follow was riveting. This opening scene takes place in 1197 in Oxford near to the court of Prince John.
Posing within the court of John as a Norman, the Lady Isobel of Brittany, Helena of York is seeking the truth about her father's death and the consequences that followed for the villagers where show more Helena's father, the Earl of Wessex's body was discovered.
Here Helena meets Stephen, Count of Dian, the 'Black Baron', once a close friend to King Richard and as chance would have it, a childhood playmate to the real Isobel. Stephen will in turn be puzzled by Helena, challenged by her, love her, protect her from her enemies and assist her in her quest for vengeance. He is quite a remarkable man for his times. The truth of why revenge is important to Helena would become clear to him, although he counsels against it. Very much in terms of how taking revenge will affect her psyche.
The action swings from the court of Prince of John in Oxford, to York, to the great forests of Robert (Robin) of Locksley, and on to King Richard in Normandy. The interweaving of these commanding characters into the very fabric of the story creates further interest. Their intersection doesn't seem beyond the realm possibility, indeed is indicative of the story's reality working within the historical and legendary contexts of the times.
Helena is companion to the seemingly fragile Lady Catherine Fitzwarren who turns out to be motivated by motherhood, ambition and fear in attaching her family to John's star. That determination of purpose leads Lady Catherine to render Helena harm. Catherine is closed to all else but her own desires in these matters.
The very kingship of England comes under threat as the key players jockey for position.
A medieval romance that stirs the imagination and portrays vividly many of the concerns, cultural habits and political intrigues of the times.

WOW! This one starts off with some serious steam, sweat, and scorching M/M/F sex. Once again I didn’t put it down until I was done. Sera’s Gift may be the hottest, sexiest, and most heartwarming of the series. I thoroughly enjoyed that the Trinities from the first two books played a big part in this one. The story flowed really well from the first book to the last I got to reconnect with Beth, Mia and their guys and fall in love with Sera, Blake, and Diego.

Sera is “called” to Earth show more to help her brother and she does. What no one but she and Lindál knew was that by using her abilities to save him Sera would be exiled to Earth. She never understood why her brother loved it here, but she was about to learn. Her first night she meets Diego and Blake in a very tense situation. Sera learns to love and live fully through Diego and Blake.

I learned so much about Diego, in the first two books he comes across as a player and self-centered. He was but there was a very good reason for it and that reason just plain broke my heart. Once he gives himself to something he does it all the way. That’s exactly what he did with Sera and Blake, due to that love and surrender he was hurt the most when Blake made the decision he did.

Blake is the typical cop, but accepts the situation as best as he can. He gives his best shot until he blames his partners for the price he had to pay. It was difficult to work through the issues with him, Sera and Diego, but I loved that they worked it out on their own and came together.

I was very happy and satisfied with the ending. I do wish there was going to be more in this series.

Forbidden takes place in England in 1835. Vaughn, the Viscount of Rothmere, comes home to fight his father for his inheritance left to him by his mother. Here he meets Elisa, whom his father has convinced to marry him in exchange for helping her find her son.

Poor Elisa has been ostracized from society because of a bunch of lies. Her son has been stolen from her and she thinks Rufus, the Marquis of Fairleigh, can help her.Vaughn and Elisa are helplessly attracted to each other but are show more embroiled in a web of lies and deceit.

I love this time period despite all the rules and restrictions of society. The glamour of the balls and house parties draw me in every time. Still, women are confined in a man's world and restricted by their rules. However, this book had something that most historical romance novels do not. A man willing to stand up to society and tell them they are wrong. A man willing to throw their own indiscretions in their faces publicly. Now that is love. A man willing to risk everything including being ostracized from society for the woman he loves. Yes, I am a romantic at heart and this book fed the romantic part of my soul. This book was worth the read and I am looking forward to the next book in the Scandalous Sirens series.

3.5 Stars

It was sizzling erotic romance that I didn't put down until the end and I can hardly wait for book two. This is a quick read that has well developed characters.

Beth has lusted after Luke and Zach for weeks and when they come together it's intense, explosive and oh so hot. Beth accepts the situation remarkably well, almost too well to be believable, but I prefer that to over wasting time with that in a novella.

The reason behind the bonding and what they will have to face is gripping show more and fresh. This is my first read by Tracy Cooper-Posey and was pleased to get a well written and thought out story. I'll be reading more of her work, especially the next two books expected in the Destiny's Trinity series.
