Inevitable is a new adult romance starting off when Cassandra finds her boyfriend cheating on her and she decides to move into her grandparents old house which is pretty secluded with only the estate next door which has been empty for a while and had just been sold.
In walks Logan an absolutely gorgeous man that Cassandra is instantly attracted to. The problem is he is a player, sleeps with loads of women and even though Cassandra is attracted to him she doesn’t want to be just another show more notch on his bed post.
This book is fantastic, I am really liking the current new adult romances available at the moment and this kept be hooked. I loved the will they won’t they plot and loved how Cassandra and Oliver hit it off straight away and that she loved spending time with him.
Cassandra was a strong woman even with the hurt she had suffered, she was not going to allow that happen again.
As the story continues I got to learn more about Logan and the reason why he acts how he does and I could understand him more.
The ending of the book was left at a place that makes me NEED to read the second book as soon as it comes out. It was a “OMG don’t end it here!” moment.
Brilliant book, fantastically written and I can’t wait to read book 2 and other books written by the author.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review for Have Book Will Read.

Far off in the distance, the trees surrounding him stood miles away, yet his searing gaze was concentrated on me, searching my soul for answers I couldn’t give.

And this we continue with the story of Cassandra and Logan, picking up right where we left off. Whereas I felt the first book moved a tad slower at some points, Irreplaceable grabs you from the first page! I am so invested in these characters, wanting to know show more more of Logan’s secrets, and feeling the angst right along with Cassandra. Angela Graham has a way with writing that grabs your soul and allows you to love along with them. I felt every pang in my heart, cried every tear that was shed, and rejoiced when things began to look up.

“Look, I’m not saying give him a chance romantically, Cassandra. Just maybe…I don’t know, try being nice, or at least civil. What happened to my sweet best friend who never had a mean bone in her body?” With my eyes trained on the television, I answered, “He broke her.”

So to recap a little, Cassandra and Logan were finally on the same page. They were at a New Year’s party and had both, unbeknownst to each other, decided that tonight was the night to let go of all their fears and make a go of it. As they go to leave, as luck would have it, in walks his wicked ex Natasha. Like men with baggage usually do, Logan lets her get in his head, reassuring him that he would always be a man whore. Logan’s demeanor immediately changes, taking what Natasha said to heart, and decided he might as well live up to what everyone thought of him. Making Cassandra feel worthless, she drives off distraught, and is involved in a serious car accident. This now brings us up to speed from Inevitable.

The pain in my chest was gut-wrenching and tears pooled in my eyes, but the thought of giving in was more terrifying.

Be forewarned; the angst is THICK in this book. In my opinion though, it makes the story all the more delicious. I love my stories with a healthy dose of angst. For love to triumph, it must have obstacles. How else will you know that you can withstand the tests of time if not for trials. I found myself holding my breath with each turn of the page to see what Logan would do next. Because this is a man who fights for what he wants. And what he wants is Cassandra. In her he sees his future, he sees his salvation, he sees his home.

I knew he felt it – the hope that I held onto that one day I could forgive him, that there might still be a possibility for us to share a love so powerful it could erase my pain, insecurities, and distrust; a love that could wipe away the past. But for now it wasn’t there. A shred of hope was all I had to give.

Cassandra doesn’t make this journey easy for us. I understand why she makes the decisions she does, and cannot say I would do any differently were I in the same situation. But whew, it makes for a hard read. Angela writes this heartbreaking journey with a realism that I love. There is so much truth and honesty in their words, and their thought process is spot on. There aren’t any extravagant situations or obstacles too insurmountable to overcome. Life happens and they learn to navigate the best they can, simply surviving some days.

This wasn’t love. Love shouldn’t be this hard…this painful.

You won’t come away from this journey unscathed. I left with the hope of happily ever afters and everlasting love. We leave this book in a MUCH better place than the last. I won’t say that we are left with a cliffhanger, but there is definitely intrigue. There is more story to come, but I have faith that this couple can face anything and come out on the other end stronger. A 5 star read for me! Cannot wait for the next installment!

“Tell me you’re mine. Tell me you trust me again and that you’ll still be in my arms when the sun comes up. No regrets, Cassandra. I won’t take you until you’re mine.” His? Didn’t he already see it? Or was I that good at hiding how I felt? “I’ve been yours for longer that I’ve been able to admit.”

Oh my did I really love this book! However, I HATE cliffhangers! Hear me authors....I HATE them. I didn't even feel this one was terrible and hope like hell it's not a trilogy! I will say I did see the ex business coming but not the ending. I normally would not have been able to stick out a romance with....well, not much romance between the main characters but this was filled with interesting dialogue. This entire book is about the "building" relationship between the main characters. I will show more wait for reviews before I read the next one to see if any real progress is made. I need to have all the loose ends tied up for my HEA (that I still hope is going to happen in the next one!). show less
What can I say about this book? I went against the grain and read the prequel before attempting the rest of the series. I haven't decided if that was a good idea or a bad one. For all the rave reviews I hear about the remainder of the books, I had mixed feelings about this one.

Logan is a hottie. There is no mistake about that one. I mean, a single dad (and an AMAZING one at that, ladies) who runs big businesses and still manages to keep his life sort of together after the mother of his show more child just up and left him and his son all alone? It definitely takes a one of a kind man to get through something like that. I give him a hell of a lot of credit there!

His playboy attitude? Yeah, I kind of get it. I mean, he uses his time without his son to get his needs met without forming any type of relationship with the women he uses. Yes, I use the term "uses" because that's what he does. He finds his conquest, ravages her wherever he can find a spot and then leaves her like a used napkin on a diner table. Sure, I get that he has been hurt in the past and doesn't want to form connections....but seriously? The way Logan views his women and goes after them, with the help of his friend Caleb('cause every guy needs a wingman, right?) well...it just makes him seem like an ass to me. I have the impression of a guy who wants to get as many notches in his bedpost as he can find the time to and he doesn't really make any impression otherwise. There's just something unsettling about that in my opinion.

Now, this is just a prequel and I am thoroughly interested in finishing the series and see if my mind will change about him. I sincerely hope it does. I loved the storyline, I adored the characters....I definitely have a sweet spot for Logan's sister Julia and how she cares so much for her big brother. My heart broke when Natasha left Logan and Oliver all alone, although I really think they were better off without her. The way I was so involved in the storyline really makes me want more.

If Graham can get me hooked into a story, even though I am not overly fond of the lead right yet, I really can not wait to see what she has in store for me with the next one!
