Begins with soil testing,and soil building, then builds the vegetable garden from seed starting, planting successions and companions, battling bugs, and then harvesting and stocking the cold cellar. Lovely.
Loved this book. I'm in a gardening slump and this really inspires me to get my bum back out there.
Just what the title says: a basic book on organic gardening, a good beginner's guide.
As pertinent as it was when it was released 37 years ago. This is a great vegetable gardening bible.
