I love this book of techniques ~~ so full of handmade papermaking, decorating, painting, printing... But I haven't actually sat down and followed any of the directions. It is a very inspiring catalogue of ways to make wonderful paper-based art. The directions are clear and not at all intimidating. So I take the book out every few months when I want to feel happy about dreaming up a new activity. I think that's its great value to me at this time: inspirational.
This book goes above and beyond the pop-scrapbook fad and tells you how to make your own papers, bind your own books and make sure that everything is conversation quality so that it will last forever. A must have for every book maker.
This book is beautifully presented. It provides good instructions on construction of marbling trays, combs, and rakes. The lush photographs are a great encouragement to improve one's skills.
An inspirational book covering multi-media collage, assemblage (especially shrines) and altered art (especially altered books). There are some projects here and some discussion of technique, but it's mostly showing various artist's work.
