This gets a 4 star rating for its great overview of the different aspects and disciplines of yoga. I have been practicing yoga regularly for two years and this was perfect for me at this stage. I think I will go back to it for reference now and again. It's not often I read a reference book from cover to cover!
I thought this book was a great introduction to Kundalini yoga. I had the chance to meet Shakti and I assure you she is the real deal. This book is so informal while still being packed with info. I just loved it.
I love using this book to help in my yoga practice. Plenty of pictures and practical advice.
Great how-to book on Kundalini yoga. Not very metaphysical, but a good it'll-get-you-started kind of book. Full of step-by-step instructions, and pictures. Deals with breathing, meditation, and body kriyas. It's a book you can keep beside your yoga mat and refer to time and time again.
