A good comprehensive introduction to yoga and a reference I go back to often. Although the pictures of poses are rather dated, they help a lot. This book has my favorite Sun Salutation printed on a handy tear-out card.

Good introduction to meditation, different techniques and styles, etc.

Good, but I liked Meditation for Dummies better. They're similar in that both provide broad overviews of the topic. On scanning them both, this one seemed to include more material on yoga and religious aspects of meditation, which was of less interest to me at the time.
