This is a new book, only a year old; so the kitchens have a fresh look (some library books look pretty dated!). The very first full-page kitchen photo prompted me to take the book to my husband and say "that's the kitchen I want!". It looked to me as though many styles were represented, although it may tend more towards the traditional look that I prefer. Separate chapters discuss the usual details like cabinets, lighting, and appliances; but there are also chapters on islands, work spaces, show more and open shelves.
