I see that I am at odds with the other ratings of this book. I didn't get it. There is no attempt to create any character, even the main character, the author, is in no way a real person. Violence is given and taken with no consequence. The author, if indeed this is a biographic work, excuses his aggression; he was badly treated as a child, everyone he meets wants to abuse him so, he sometimes gets his retaliation in first.
