KItty Slade lives in London with her sister, brother and grandmother and is a little disconcerted when she sees a strange man in her science lab. This turns out to be a ghost and she's starting to see them, this leads her on adventures and starts a series.

It wasn't bad, but it seemed to lack something, it felt a bit rushed and I didn't really get a feel for the character, but it's not a bad read and I may look for more in the future.

Pablo has artists for parents who insist on providing him with a fairly dull environment which includes no television. They are hoping he'll be an artist, and when he shows no inclination, they actually take him to a doctor. Later, he lies to his parents and tells them he's joined a chess club when really he's sneaking to a friend's house to watch TV. He has a sudden urge to draw cartoons but he hides them from his parents. He creates a cartoon and then sees the same cartoon appear on the TV show more the next day. He thinks that's really weird, but he writes it off as a coincidence. He then makes a prediction based on real life, and with a few minor glitches, such as a playground slide instead of a film slide, he does indeed predict the event that day. He starts to use his ability to his advantage. Then they try to bet on a soccer game and get overheard by a man. Later Pablo gets kidnapped by men who want him to make predictions for them. I lost interest at this point and stopped reading. show less
A book about loss and coping with the evil stepmother. Magic helps develop the strength to cope with reality but creativity is the problem solver.

I was concerned about this title, not sure if they would get it, but they loved it.
