I loved these books as a child and they are still wonderful. Timothy the lamb and Emmy have adventures til he has grown enough to reunite with the sheep. Phoebe Dunn’s books are enchanting must reads capturing the small and joyous moments of a nature centered childhood.
A cute story about a girl and her lamb that could reconcile kids to the fact that farm pets eventually gotta go back to the farm. I liked that it used photographs--drawings are fine but also sort of the generic default, and the photos made shit real.

This is probably my son's favorite book. My husband bought it for him while I was in the hospital in labor. He is almost two now and he still wants to read it almost every day. He only says 3 words so far and one of those is "quack" from the sound button on this book. I love the photos in this book too. It's just a fun book to read.
This book manages to teach your child a little about ducks and also has a bit of character development in it. The story is illustrated with photographs of the little duck, named Henry. (awww)Henry is found as an egg and brought home by a boy. You get to see Henry pop out of the egg and see what he eats and what he does with his first swim. Henry follows the boy around the farm and sits in grandpas lap and reads the paper. Hes getting bigger all the time. Henry gets lonely after the boy goes show more back to school.... show less
