Christine El Mahdy was a British Egyptologist and writer. At Yeovil College in Somerset, England, she was the founder and director of the Egyptian Society. Her books included Exploring the World of the Pharaohs (1987), Mummies, Myth and Magic (1991), Tutankhamen: The Life and Death of the Boy-King (2000), and The Secret of the Great Pyramid (2005).
