- "Sophie Davis" is the pseudonym for Tabitha and Hannah: two best friends, roommates, and now writing partners. The pair met at Dickinson Law and instantly bonded over their love of great books and bad horror movies. After they graduated, when one longed for the ability to read minds so she wouldn't have to study for the bar exam, a Saga was born. When the Talented Saga went on to be an internationally bestselling series, the girls decided to throw caution to the wind and follow their shared life-long dream of being writers.
The duo currently lives in Washington, D.C. with a poodle and a rescued mutt. The pups are their faithful companions—with frequent social media appearances—as the girls navigate the world of Indie Publishing. - Nationality

Reeling from the execution of her best friend, Natalia Lyons decides to accompany Mac to Washington DC. Mac will be overseeing the Talent Aptitude Testing and Talia will be assisting in the administration of the test.
Happy for the distraction and anxious to be reunited with Erik, Talia embarks on this new journey only to find huge fissures in what she has considers truth and morally right. With each discovering, shocking revelations are exposed. Talia must decide where her loyalties lie. show more Who can she truly trust? What horrible truths are still not uncovered?
Sophie Davis completely brings to life this incredible world where some of the human population develops “talents”, paranormal abilities, and the power struggle to control these abilities. Davis twisted in the perfect amount of action, romance, heart ache, friendships, family and witty banter to create an astonishing trip into the lives of her fabulous characters.
I was sucked in from the very beginning, feeling deeply for the characters and the choices they are making and facing. At times my heart clenched, I laughed and cheered at Talia’s strength, I celebrated and was shocked by the revelations and was plastered to the pages.
Hunted is the 3rd installment in the Talented Saga. I have read and loved Talented and Caged but Hunted absolutely blew me away! Hunted is truly an incredible work of young adult fiction that happily engulfed me.
Hunted will be released November 2012!

I am obsessed with this series. I tap into the Sophie Davis blog sporadically to find out when the next instalment is ACTUALLy coming out because they aren't real spot on with release dates. But I digress.
Talented introduces us to Talia, a young woman with a Talent which is essentially a mutation caused by a great apocalyptic contamination that changed the face of the planet a hundred years ago. She is dating Donovan and working with a special little team of operatives for an organization show more called T.O.X.I.C. Take that how you may, it's not the best name for the good guys.
The concept is a little X-Men-esque with the talents varying from person to person but with levels of proficiency and so much repetition that they are classified into categories. These talents are used by TOXIC to fight the revolution against people who are against their very existence and who are trying to gather territory from TOXIC. This battle has been raging for years past and will continue on for years to come.
I have to agree with a few other reviewers on the point that Talia is positioned as the most special Talent in all the Talents and her happiness and well-being is put above most everything else which results in some trouble down the road. The dialogue is quite juvenile, the issues that take up the majority of the storyline in Talented are quite juvenile but hang in there, this series gets better and better. As Talia squares off with larger problems and her world begins to morph into something wholly different I felt that she grew as a character, perhaps as the Sophies were growing as writers.
I fell madly in love with Talia, Erik and Penny and have a strange hate-affection for Donovan that is not settled by the end of book one. The core relationships are not solid throughout the series, the storyline is constantly changing and throwing new twists and surprises; the relationships you start out rooting for in the beginning will shift and change with the plot line making for a dynamic read. show less

Talia was part of a happy, loving family. Their family travels to do research on the effects the nuclear meltdown had on world’s population. Many people were born with unique powers, after the nuclear disaster, these powers are referred to as talents. Conflicts and revolutions started over these talented individuals. It seems that power is in controlling the powerful. Her family, unfortunately, was deemed a threat in this conflict. A team is sent out to eliminate them, Talia does survives show more but only after she witnesses the brutal murder of her parents. She declares to take revenge on the man she’s been told ordered the hit. She is sent to a special school that trains the talented, Talia is telekinetic. After graduating she applies to become a hunter. In hunter training, Talia is molded into a weapon of war. Talia must face betrayal, love, and ultimately herself (does she really have what it takes to become a killer).
I absolutely loved Talented. This book is packed full of fresh and stunning imagery of this dystophian world…you feel like you right there. The characters are wonderful. Talia is so real, you feel for everything she goes through as if she is your best friend. The tension between Talia, Donavon and Erik, is simply fantastic! I’m going to go click Caged right now, because this book left me with the bereft feeling of needing more NOW!

In the second instalment of the Talented saga we find Talia fully removed from the TOXIC compound, her team and her friends. This instalment leaves a sort of leaden feeling as the goals and dreams of Talented are all but abandoned. They're "set aside" to be retried later but as the story plays out there is a sense of ominous change that kept me turning pages long into the night in an effort to get to the happy ending. This book does not get you there, the Sophies are terrifc at cliffhangers show more and will keep you reading.
The most prominent thing about Caged was that it created feelings, a sense of stress, that I felt physically as I was reading it. The carefully crafted world we were previously introduced to has some cracks and the facade is crumbling. We get a deeper look at the Talia/Donovan relationship post TOXIC as they are placed back in their childhood home while simultaneously building the Talia/Erik and Talia/Penny relationships. There is a lot of movement in the Talia/Mac relationship arc that is going to become immensely important in the next couple books.
I would say, out of the five currently published that this one was my least favorite. It was very slow moving, there was not a lot going on but it managed to explore the characters and their connections and it revealed personalities and secrets while serving the dual purpose of keeping Talia away from the life she was previously pursuing.
Again we see some dialogue that is not necessarily the greatest and some of the issues that take up a lot of Talia's time and attention really are meaningless but keeping in mind that she is a teenager these factors do not deter me from continuing on in the series. I would like to see a shift away from Team boy #1 versus Team boy #2 but that seems to be an issue in this novel. show less
