I found this (and other) Storey Country Widsom Bulletins at a bookstore in Troy and was immediately drawn to them. Short and concise, these books are jam-packed with a whole bunch of folk skills that anybody would be better of knowing.
This booklet has a lot of jam recipes as well as points on how to preserve what you make. I like how the recipes aren't heavy on using commercial pectin. It also has tips on what types of fruits are naturally high in acid/pectin and which aren't.
I can't wait show more to try out some of these recipes once fresh berries are in season and our farmer's markets are open again! show less
