Quilts & Women of the Mormon Migrations: Treasures of Transition by Mary Bywater Cross

A very interesting blend of textile history and women's history. The author provides an overview of the Mormon migrations and a short biography of each quiltmaker, and discusses the fabrics and block patterns used in the quilts.

When we were following the Oregon Trail 6 years ago I found this book. I likeed to read histories and personl stories of the settlers as we drove the same route.
