About the Author

Shoghi Effendi (1897-1957), great-grandson of Bahullh (the Founder of the Bah Faith), was educated at the American University of Beirut and Balliol College, Oxford. Among the many achievements of his ministry as the Guardian of the Bah Faith are the development of the world spiritual and show more administrative center of the Faith in Haifa, Israel, the establishment of the administrative order of the Faith in Haifa, Israel; the establishment of the administrative order of the Faith the elaboration of many aspects of the Faiths history and teachings through his writings the transaltion of many passages from the writings of Bahullh into English and the planning for the growth of the Faith on a world encompassing scale. show less

God Passes By by Shoghi Effendi
A very very long book! Worth reading for the interesting historical perspective on the Baha'i faith by the great grandson of Bah'a'ullah. Shoghi Effendi is a magnificent writer, having gone to Oxford for his education. His sentences are often as long as a normal paragraph but no one can fault the grammar or the elegance of the sentences. A fascinating history told by the last family member to direct the faith and who established the Universal House of Justice in Haifa.
