This book reminds me of one of my favorite college classes back in the day. "Introduction to Film." And I'm not being sarcastic. Intro to Film was superb because it gave you a slice, and often one of the best slices, of the many different genres of the medium. It was an All-Star game of sorts. Similarly, The Book of Investing Wisdom is an All-Star review of the greats of Wall Street.

It's biography, history and smart financial advice all rolled into one compendium. Recommended.

Note: The show more audiobook version is abridged. It's still a great listen but you get more content in the actual book. show less

Ever wished that you could go to a financial school, where the professors would give you great tips on how to make sound investment decisions? That you could have a line-up of speakers of successful investors one after the other?

Well, this book is just that. It's a seminar, a class, a teaching program of sorts with 46 essays from the world's best and successful investors in the last century.

The intelligence, the wisdom, humility and humor of these investors is overwhelming. It's a book I show more have thoroughly enjoyed listening to (I have the audiobook) and as I read it, I keep making the same mental note again and again - "If and when I ever start investing, I will follow the advice of this book to the letter." show less
Fun, funny, informative, educational. It's classified in some sources as a business book, but it's really biography. Krass's writing style is nothing to get excited about, unfortunately.
