Interesting history of the Methodist movement, beginning with developments of the Anglican Church that gave rise to Methodism and covering primarily the span of John Wesley's life.
A fascinating study of the founder of Methodism, John Wesley. A lot of space is given to the uncertainties and quandaries he had. I think tho, to his dying day he and his brother Charles were Anglicans.
Excellent book on John Wesley. Covers what others thought about John Wesley which is interesting reading. Then, in the back of the book an exceedingly helpful rundown of the authors who have written about Wesley and some of their good as well as bad points.
An excellent read.
