With more than six thousand entries, music enthusiasts are likely to find their favorite singer(s) listed. Entry information is straightforward although at times subjective comments are included. Album ratings, by the editor and contributors, are also subjective and seem disproportionately harsh considering the number of albums rated “disappointing” throughout the show more encyclopedia.

With biographical information, discographies, and filmographies available in many places, the only information unique to this volume may be its inclusion of lesser- and relatively-unknown British singers. show less
