How did they do that? This is a simple book about a fun concept that has always intrigued me. I mean who doesn't love crayons right? We have probably all used them at some point in our lives and young children are very familiar with them. This is an informational book that could introduce or guide an elementary level science lesson about how things are made or even chemical science, can things go back the way they were before? It has some interesting photos about the process of making show more crayons before they get to our classrooms and homes. It is one book in a series of six called How Things are Made, and the other books in the series, about some familiar topics, look quite interesting. The one thing I don't understand about this book though is the style of crayon that is produced, and the book is not that old; I have never seen that kind of crayon and I'm sure most kids haven't either. The book could possibly further discussion to a lesson, maybe stem some research on where those crayons were made, or when the photographs were taken. show less
A nice and simple book to show the process of how trees are turned into paper. The book has larger print and simple, non-complex words.
This book goes over the process of how to use milk to make ice cream. It uses step by step instructions and offers pictures throughout the process. There are vocabulary words offered at the end of the book also.
