Dan is a journalist, author and contributing editor to MoneySense, Financial Post Magazine, and Canadian MoneySaver. He has published several books of nonfiction, including Hope in Hell: Inside the World of Doctors Without Borders and Wild Blue, and has twice been nominated for the Science in Society Book Award, given by the Canadian Science Writers' Association. His writing has appeared in more than two dozen magazines in North America.

An interesting story of MSF, told with reference to the stories of the expats themselves. This book was most interesting when it told the stories of the people, without dwelling too long on major themes. A light read, but pleasant. Lots of photos, for those so inclined.
