Conversational Intelligence: How Great Leaders Build Trust and Get Extraordinary Results by Judith E. Glaser
Self-promoting, with annoying trademark "TM" symbols throughout. Very light on substance, doesn't report or illuminate the science, just uses it to make herself look smart. There are so many better books out there on the topic. For example, anything by Daniel Shapiro, Roger Fisher, or William Ury. Also Emotional Agility by Susan David; worlds better than this book.
Conversational Intelligence: How Great Leaders Build Trust and Get Extraordinary Results by Judith E. Glaser
Deals with emotional intelligence, building trust and brain sciences, but with Glaser's proprietary tools and frameworks. You'll learn:
• The neuroscience behind human interactions, including the 5 parts of the brain, how they generate neuro- and bio-chemical responses to affect our feelings responses, and outcomes.
• How virtuous trust cycles and vicious distrust cycles are formed, and how they impact our relationships and results.
• How to use the 5 TRUST criteria, Conversational show more Dashboard, and other tools/frameworks to move up 3 levels of conversation.
• Additional tools and exercises that leaders can use to develop Conversational Intelligence or C-IQ in their teams and organizations
