Jacqueline Laks Gorman

Dewayne Johnson grew up in Hawaii, son of a Hawaiian father and African American mother. Upon graduation from high school, Dewayne received a scholarship to play college for Mimi. Soon received opportunity to play professional football in a Canadian league. Found out that he did not like living this those conditions he decided to follow in his father’s foot steps and became a professional wrestler. With help from his father and a few acquaintances his Dewayne “the Rock” Johnson show more emerged.

My husband recommended this book to me because it was inspirational to him. After reading it I have to agree. The good is a great example of motivation in writing.

Students in the classroom could be encouraged to read this book and experience the challenges of deciding for your self. Students could also write a paper on what they want to be when they grow up. show less
