The story, it has to be said, is somewhat unlikely. The script is a bit tired; while it's undoubtedly light, there aren't any laugh-aloud moments. The climax is a bit unexpected, and the ending is (happily) predictable, if unlikely.

Nevertheless, this is a nicely done film, with some good acting, particularly by Drew Barrymore. There are some rather shocking insights into American high schools, albeit (I hope) rather caricatured.

Still, despite its flaws, we enjoyed watching this film. I show more would recommend it in a low-key way for anyone who likes this genre, and wants a fluffy hour and a half that's a bit different from the average rom-com.

Rated 12, due to a lot of innuendoes. Probably of no interest to anyone under the age of about sixteen anyway.

Predictable in an overall sense, but nicely done. It manages to feel a tad dated despite the teenagers having cell phones, but most of the humour is timeless. Some of it is a tad extreme, which is probably why this film has a PG rather than U rating.

There’s nothing deep in this film, and the extras aren’t particularly interesting, but it made a good evening’s undemanding viewing, with a few places where we laughed out loud. We didn't get to know any of the children individually and I show more had forgotten all their names by the time the film ended; there are four teenagers, and some young twins who are perhaps five, as well as all ages in between.

Recommended if you want to see something light-hearted - and unless you are very particular, there’s nothing unsuitable for children.

It's ok on its own, there's some fun visuals and booby traps but ultimately Home Alone really didn't need a third film.
A reporter poses as a highschool student and refuses to expose a predator teacher.

1/4 (Bad).

This movie is remarkably gross. Every adult character in it should end up in jail. Meanwhile, it doesn't even bother to do anything entertaining beyond simply putting Drew Barrymore on screen (which, to be fair, is enough for me to give the movie one point out of four).
