I really liked reading this book because the text was well written and easy to understand. I also want to point out that the text was of larger print and would make this an easy read for children as well. I also like that all of the pictures that are in the book are pictures of children which will help children to relate to what they are reading. For example, on page 17 there is a picture with children running across a finish line and the caption reads, "The respiratory system brings oxygen show more to all parts of our body." Where it is positioned in the book, children would be able to draw the inference that oxygen will help them to be more active. The big idea of this book is to help children understand what breathing is and why it is essential to our every day life. show less
Children will be fascinated by this easy to read, interesting introduction to the human brain.
This book is geared towards grades 3-5. The book defines and provides in depth information on what a compsognathus is and when/ where it was discovered. The book was separated into 6 chapters and featured a glossary, index, fun facts, and more. Throughout the book there were vocabulary words and labeled photos that shared more information and made the content easy to understand.
This book gives kids information on what cerebral palsy is and what tools kids use to help them walk when they have cerebral palsy. It gives good definitions for students to understand in an easy manner.
