Ronald J. Taylor

Taylor helped me understand more than I expected about the biome I grew up in, the high desert of southern Idaho.

I used to day-hike the areas of the Cascades and used this book when learning the wild flowers. I also took my introductory Botany courses as a student from Ron Taylor.

This book is all-inclusive, covering ferns, trees, wildflowers, just about anything green. It is mainly an identification book. There are no range maps but there is a habitat description with each plant and some description of where it grows.
