The first part of this book is very helpful in terms of explaining PTSD and its symptoms. The second part has "remedies" that I am wary of. I have found journaling to be the best approach for me. It allows me to process the trauma internally and converse with the Lord Jesus Christ and my heavenly Father about it. It is a lengthy and painful process, but one the I can share with my loving wife and trusted friend. Their words of validation, comfort and encouragement are so helpful. And my Good show more Shepherd brings healing. As it says in Psalm 147, "The Lord builds up Jerusalem, brings back her captive sons, He binds up all their wounds, and heals the broken-hearted ones." show less
This book contains some interesting information that could be useful for someone who has self esteem issues, including many exercises and journaling activities.
