This book was recommended to me by a general practice physician. I was skeptical about relaxation and stress management techniques having any real effect, and I have an aversion to anything resembling eastern or new-agey meditation. However, I learned a couple of useful tricks from this book, primarily the ones that in effect intercept the body's fight-or-flight mechanism.
An exemplary book on stress. It is lucidly written, it is rationally orders, it is comprehensive and each section is densely packed with instructions and exercises which make the workbook easy to practice.
This is a great reference tool to use when life gets hectic (these days it seems like always!!) Lots of breathing, meditation etc techniques compiled from much research. I ended up buying it. Highly recommend for anyone trying to renew and restore.
A very good book with practical solutions that is easy to implement to improve the quality of life. I absolutely recommend this book to everybody who are also undergoing some emotional depression.
