The Basque Kitchen is a beautiful book. Each recipe is proceeded by a personal memory or antidote from the Basque area or the author's life. The instructions seem straightforward, though several recipes seem to be the same with minor variations.
Very lovely photos, I'm sure the food is fine, it's just too fussy for me at this time of life. It also requires many special ingredients, and though he gives mail order sources in the back, I don't have room in my kitchen for every food culture of show more the world and their unique spices/ingredients. show less
