"We need the sun" teaches students how the sun is a central component to life on Earth. This book shows how the sun can help certain plants to live by providing light It also addresses the sunrise that occurs every morning and the sunset every evening. I like this book because it explains the simple concept of the sun and how it is important for all life. I think this book is a great read for younger children who are getting introduced to reading and science concepts. I would include this show more book in my library from k-1 grade because of it's simple concepts. OI would give this book 5 stars because it is a great book for beginners. show less
Rocks and their different sizes and locations are described. Children learn about river rocks, boulders and mountains, and hot rocks that lie under the earth. Collecting rocks is fun and educational.
Bought this for my sister, but I may keep it for myself to revisit the fun I had in my childhood.
A boy and his grandfather walk in a park. They see birds in many places doing different things. They look up the birds in the grandfather's bird book. Then they go home to see the boy's pet bird.
