It's so good to see the struggles of first nations people assessed and interpreted with a healthy and rigorous economic lens. Too often, the indigenous people of North America are undermined and undeserved by well-intentioned economic nonsense, or even by the exploitative re-colonialism of identity politics advocates looking to upend power structures for their own purposes. This book is in effect a declaration of dignity and a cry for the liberation of Native Americans from the institutions show more that have so long hindered them. Based on solid economic thinking and analysis, and truth telling, the economic, political and legal scholars who have contributed to this work have assessed the history of the people of this land well, and accordingly identify real ways towards justice and liberty. show less
