I recall the concept books by [a:Tana Hoban|50789|Tana Hoban|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/f_50x66-6a03a5c12233c941481992b82eea8d23.png]... we loved them. This might be more diverse, and iirc Hoban's didn't have notes to help the educator 'use' the book, but this is also not as lovely. Hoban's books were worth looking at just for the artistic photos, with the bonus of being clear on the concepts.
Lacking on the visual appeal, but the way the information is presented makes up for that. It is very enriching and packed with lots of hands-on experiments that are fun for the whole family.
This book is a message to all children who are wondering what is happening after someone they love dies or when they hear about death. It helps to make sense of the feelings of loneliness, fear and grief that surround when can be a painful experience.
