This has clear line drawings of images from manuscripts. Useful as the basis for embroidery, or your own illuminated manuscripts. Recommend looking at the original sources for details, but as a way of understanding the basic design style, this is useful.

The letters of medieval manuscripts can be not only elegant, but terribly amusing. One can enjoy the jests of monks of the 12th century, most simply drawn for young children to color.
