My Review: A book ideal for the lap-reader who needs a bit of pattern-recognition practice. It's the Where's Waldo? of the Yuletide. The holiday theme can woo the excited kid to settle in and enjoy some carefully hidden good-for-them knowledge acquisition.






The fun little facts about the countries will give the reader a chance to sneak in some education, or can be left asife if the kid's squirmy...the illustrations are, i think, just right to keep a lap-reader engaged but not overstimulated.

On St. Nicholas Night, the tree goes up, the mugs of hot chocolate magically appear, and a big, warm lap beckons after all that excitement...perfect time to find Santa around the world. show less

Forever Friends is a journal that is designed to be shared between a couple of friends. When I say shared I don't simply mean after it has been filled in but in the actual process of filling it in.

My copy was an ecopy so I couldn't use it as it is really meant to be used but I did sit with a friend and go through a lot of it and we shared our thoughts and feelings. While it didn't provide a physical keepsake for us it did offer several truly touching moments when we shared things we hadn't show more before and some laughs when we recalled some things from our past. Doing this in a physical copy would be a wonderful way to deepen a connection or maybe even reconnect if there has been some growing apart.

Definitely would recommend this as both something to get for yourself (to use with a friend) as well as a gift for a couple, maybe an anniversary (not necessarily wedding) or something.

I’m a little surprised to find myself reviewing a blank journal, but I am so thoroughly impressed by the format I felt I had to say something. This journal is divided into separate sections for each trip. Every section follows the same outline: some pages for planning the trip, some pages for taking notes during the journey (perhaps as a diary), and some pages to reflect once the trip is over. The planning and reflection pages have specific prompts to guide the writing, and there is plenty show more of space for free expression. Inspirational quotes are icing on the cake. By offering such a framework, this journal provides a fantastic way to organize one’s thoughts and preserve the memories. show less
