Sharon R. Steadman is Professor of Anthropology and Director of the Rozanne M. Brooks Museum at SUNY Cortland. In addition to her work at the university, Steadman is the Field Director and Co-Director of the Archaeological Project at Cadir Hoyuk, Turkey. Archaeology of religion : cultures and their beliefs in worldwide context by Sharon R. Steadman
This was clearly meant as a textbook for undergraduates. It treads carefully through the maze of conflicting interpretations of archaeological information, particularly where living religions are involved. For areas I was familiar with it didn't provide anything new and for areas that were new, I found the text unengaging.
