May McKisack (1900–1981)

A very readable textbook packed with information. perhaps a bit dated now, but as a starting point for this period of History it is excellent.

3213. The Fourteenth Centruy / 1307-1399, by May McKisack (read July 3, 1999) A year or so ago at a rummage sale I got this book for less than a dollar, but did not read it till now. It is a 1959 book by a London U. professor and is a volume in The Oxford History of England. This was a good book, especially the latter part dealing with the exciting events in the reign of Richard II. You can buy this book for $65 from Amazon, so I was glad it cost me less than a dollar.
