Everybunny Dance by Ellie Sandall is a wonderful read aloud book that invites interaction. The book features a group of bunnies dancing, playing music, and having a fun time until a fox appears, prompting them to hide. The rhyming text and playful illustrations make it engaging and fun to read aloud. The book lends itself well to actions and movement, encouraging children to clap, twirl, and wiggle along with the bunnies and the twist of the fox adds a nice does of suspense to this fun show more story. Sandall's illustrations are incredibly engaging and add to the richness of the story. show less
Sandall's dancing bunny kits return to play hide and seek with their fox friend. Readers may catch a glimpse of the fox on each spread as they count various creatures of forest and field during the bunnies' whimsical quest. High-contrast pencil and watercolor pictures offer engaging shifts in perspective and charming details. Simple rhymes invite reader participation by withholding some details and inviting a dramatic pause before the number ("We've spotted something in the tree. Everybunny show more count to three!")
My inner stickler really wants to unleash a red pen on some of the punctuation. The title refrain, for example, I wish they had made Everybunny, Count! (Compare Go, Dog. Go!) My inner stickler concedes it's not a dealbreaker.
Song pairings: "Sleeping bunnies," "Bunnies on the bus," "Two for tea" show less

Another title in the "Everybunny" series. Sweet illustrations and simple text showing a bedtime routine make this one fun. I still go back and forth on whether the foxes as bunny friends is silly or cute, though.
Bunnies hop and bop, dancing up a storm, until a fox shows up! Will the book end in carnage? Or a new friendship? No spoilers...
Very interactive, with pretty adorable illustrations.
