Filled with photos and first hand accounts by the men who flew these aircraft make this an excellent book.
I have not read much about British aircraft from WWII. The topic has never really caught me. But for these three types I have a little more than ordinary interest. The Mosquito because it has such beautiful lines and such a high performance as only the British can make them on a good day. The Typhoon and Tempest because they ended up being formidable fighter bombers, fully on par with the P-47 Thunderbolt, USAAF's fighter bomber par excellence

This is one of a series of books written by Chaz Bowyer concerning WW2 aircraft and published in the 1980s and 1990s. They tend to be in the same format, a chapter on development, then individual chapters on the theaters where the aircraft operated. Following those is a chapter usually called "Into the Cockpit", a series of narratives from crew who flew the aircraft, then a chapter on post-war use. They are interesting and reasonably comprehensive, although tend to be on the dry side.

An authoritative book on all makes and models of spitfire aircraft. Good coverage of each theater of operations too. Dated a bit (published 1980).
