This concise booklet provides a wonderful overview of the geology of southern Utah. From the conversational style to the folksy sketches, it's the best guide I've seen for basic definitions and information about how cliffs; mesas and buttes; canyons; badlands; arroyos, washes, and gullies; monuments; natural bridges, arches and windows; and sand dunes are formed.
