The authors present several essays in a manner that provides and objective and often different view of the international economics that influence the evolution of Latin America. It is presented in an easy to understand perspective and will provide the reader with a well rounded explanation of the international economics of Latin America and other countries. The authors are quick to point out that it is not a perfect work but a needed one.
2216 The Colonial Heritage of Latin America: Essays on Economic Dependence in Perspective, by Stanley J. and Barbara H. Stein (read 15 Jun 1989) This is a 1970 synthesizing designed for college students book, written in rather ponderous language but making some interesting points in Latin American history--history I know less about that I should.
