Really cute story before going to bed to read aloud to pre school age kids. The pictures are warm and make you feel sleepy. The words flow and rhyme and give a relaxing feeling
The story is told in rhyme, a soothing four verse refrain that depicts the events of baby mouse and mama mouse as they proceed through end-of-the-day routines. The rhyme is traditional, but sounds natural, at least avoiding the forced rhyme scheme which so grates on the ear. The repetitive refrain is soothing, and so are the illustrations that are soft shades of blue and green and gray. The furry mice are soft and adorable. Children tend to like mice as main characters, which adds yet show more another pleasant factor. As the title indicates, the book is a fitting lullaby to be read at bedtime. show less
Lullaby Moon is a sweet tale of mother or father and child's nightly bedtime bonding. The words flow nicely with alliteration and rhyme throughout and the illustrations are soft and fill of beautiful hues. It is also a very durable book because of the cardboard pages and soft padded cover. Great for toddlers. It is one of my sons' favorite books. I read it to them often.
Another night time read to wind down after a long day. Very comforting and sweet illustrations.
