This one was more about pointing you to other resources you might need in various circumstances at various stages of the process than about giving you a detailed roadmap. It comes from the personal experiences of the author in building multiple houses of his own.
We're building a house, so we've read more than a dozen books on the topic in the past several months. What we liked about Building Your Home is the format. Each chapter contains questions, answers, tips and traps. The consistent format makes it easy to follow and use. Although it lacks depth in some areas, the book was able to answer many of our basic questions.

Not enough practical advice, except for the excellent checklist at the back. Too much in the way of theory, but it is incredibly hard to apply.
