Interesting look at the archaeological evidence of the Old Testament. Although true to its time (and likely author) it is somewhat dismissive of Hebrew culture as being merely derivative of local Canaanite culture and later Christian culture.
NO OF PAGES: 401 SUB CAT I: Theology SUB CAT II: Kingship SUB CAT III: DESCRIPTION: Professor Gray conducts an investigation into Biblical and Ugaritic sources for evidence relating to the theme of the cultic experience of the effective reign of God. This theme, he argues, is central not only to the interpretation of the Old Testament, but also to the interpretation of the New Testament.NOTES: Purchased from CBD SUBTITLE: Adonai Melech
